    JP Morgan--banker and investor who brought together many industries including electricity and steel as his biggest investments.

    JP Morgan was one of the wealthiest men in the US during the Gilded Age and was able to use his wealth to buy companies. Morgan came to own General Electric and with it all of Edison's inventions. He also bought out Andrew Carnegie and created US Steel. Morgan also held the largest banking industry in the US which would become the Federal Reserve in the early 20th century.
