Eisenhower who was wining commander of worldwar II was able to get popular belief of American people that his wining the presidental election would bring end to the Korean stalemate. He made this his agenda that if elected president he would end the war and that he would even to to Korea.

Already popular as war hero, Eisenhower used the conflict impasse in korea as his political agenda which led the American voters believe that he would break the deadlock.
