How does the general trend for females in the labor force from 1890 to 1920 compare with the general trend for males during the same period

Based from Historical Statistics of the United States in 1975 which shows the labor force statistics from 1890 to 1920, we could see that the general trend for male and female in the same period is the similar. Both have an increasing trend but in terms of quantity, there is a huge difference between the two.
