    The sacred Ganges river travels over 1500 miles from its beginnings in the western Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand which is formerly known as Uttaranchal is the state in the northern part of India that is often known as the Land of Gods because of so many holy temples of Hindu and the cities that are located in the state belongs to the most spiritual and most promising places of Hinduism's journey and devotion.
