The quote below is from Henry Ford in the early 1900s: "It is not the employer who pays the wages. Employers only handle the money. It is the customer who pays the wages." - - Henry Ford

Based on the quote, what conclusion can be made about the United States during the 1900s? The employers of the period were known to pay their workers an inadequate salary. The economic boom of the period would have been impossible without consumers to buy the goods. The consumers of the period scrutinized goods carefully before making a decision to purchase a product. The employees of the period had to learn how to entice consumers in order to run a successful business.

A conclusion I would make is people with jobs such as employers are looked down upon from people with higher prestigious levels, and Henry Ford doesn't like that their pay isn't very good.
