Why did the Declaration include the idea that all people have the right to change their government? Because no one had ever pursued this belief. Because they needed to let the king know they had this right. Because they wanted to make sure that everyone knew why we were fighting. Because they felt the king needed to understand his shortcomings.?

    There is truth in most of the answers, but because the declaration was the document with their grievances against the king, i would go with the last option
