In 1524, the King of France sponsored Giovanni da Verrazzano who sailed the Americas from North Carolina to Cape Breton and then to Southern Newfoundland. The voyage showed that the Caribbean and Central America were joined by a stretch of a continuous coastline up to the Newfoundland. In the year 1527-28, England sponsored John Rut who sailed the Americas from Labrador to West Indies and confirmed the first findings of France that the Caribbean and Central America were joined by a stretch of a continuous coastline up to the Newfoundland. In conclusion, the year England did sail to Americas was 1527 and they sailed from Labrador to West Indies. On the other hand, France had done it the year 1524 and they sailed Americas from North Carolina to Cape Breton and then to Southern Newfoundland.
