The correct answer is to grant African Americans more rights, such as citizenship, and greater protections under the law.

The fifteenth amendment was about giving voting rights to all African-Americans who were of age to vote while the fourteenth was to protect their rights and ensure that they are treated the same as white people in public institutions. Of course, the racist people found some ways to obstruct these amendments so it didn't work that well.
