On March 12, 1938, the event called the Anschluss occurred, in which Nazi Germany annexed the state of Austria. This annexation of Austria had support of not only the Nazi supporters but from many others who wanted the countries to become one.

On September 1, 1939, Hitler invaded Poland in what is known as the Poland Campaign and which is taken as the beginning of the World War II.
