One consequence of Egypt's rejection of the state of Israel was: Egypt refused to allow Israeli ships to pass through the Suez Canal.

The main cause of this rejection was Israel's intention to transform their country into a Jewish state (all law and policies are based on Jewish Holy bible). Since a lot of people in Egypt held Traditional Muslim value, they were not very happy with this intention.
