The only Eastern European country that had widespread bloodshed in 1989 was Romania (also called as Romanian Revolution in December 1989). People wanted to get out from their communist leader Nicole Ceaușescu with his wife Elena. The event was historical as it’s the only one that dethroned the country’s government, including its leader, in a violent manner.
