Describe Herbert Hoover's stance on poverty relief. In what specific ways was he ridiculed?

    Basically, he was ridiculed because he didn't believe that the great depression was as big of a deal as it really was. He believed that it would end soon on its own and that we should let the market be the way it is and things will fix themselves. This is why he eventually lost the elections and presidency. He didn't care much about poverty relief, or at least his actions were not as big as they should've been.
