    Explanation:

    If I'm not mistaken the world war 2 didn't last (luckily for us) more than 5 years. As a matter of fact, it started as a European war and didn't reach it's global size until 1941. But it can be safely said that in the four years of world war 2 the Texas manufacturing industry (like the synthetic rubber producing plants in Houston) developed rapidly.
