Name three foreign policy crises of the years 1790-1811, and explain why each was controversial

    During 1790s, Spain and great Britain were interfering with trade of Americans. Also they were encouraging for a war but president Washington handled it well with a deal.

    In the second crisis thinking that Americans were more friendly with great Britain, with whom France had conflict, France started seizing ships of Americans, which called for a war but president Adams handled it.

    Third crisis were when trade with great Britain and France stopped and led to a war with great Britain in 1812.
