    Fulton's speech (Sinews of Peace) was delivered on March 5, 1946 by Winston Churchill at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, USA; in the USSR, it was considered a signal for the beginning of the Cold War. In the title of Churchill's speech, English phraseology "sinews of war" is played out, which means means for waging war, in which the word "war" is replaced by the word "peace." It means something like "a means to maintain peace." The original name for the speech was World peace.
