Spain controlled the municipalities and brought protestant reformation to America.

    Explanation:

When Spain came to America to conquer America for the search of gold and new market, it tried to control the municipalities in the American region and resulted in controlling their bureaucracy.

Before Spain came to America, there was no difference in the religion followed by the people but when Spain came, they brought protestant reformation to America and there fore controlled the churches of America also. This was all done to get gold and silver.
