    Scots-Irish term refers to protestants who arrived from Scotland and Ireland in America during the 1700s. These protestants called as Ulster Protestants. Scots-Irish protestants began to arrive in Colonial North America when King Charles I tried to force them to convert into the Church of England in the 1630s. They arrived in all the 13 colonies, but most of them remain in Pennsylvania where they could practice their religion and occupation freely without and obstruction.
