1. Do you think people living in that time of the civil war had a sense of what was coming? What kinds of predictions do you think people had about the war?

2. If you lived during that time, what would you have predicted - a quick war that ended within a year? A long-drawn-out war that would take decades to finish? Who would you have predicted as the winner - the North or the South?

    Yes they did. They must have thought that the conflict over slavery will be solved through this civil war. You have to do the other part thouugh it is what would YOU do.
