One of the historical names in baseball game is Jackie Robinson. A major reason for the Civil Rights movement was to fight against racism.

Robinson battled discrimination throughout his life and when in the majors by speaking out against the racism attacks on him which led to publicity for the Civil Rights movement.

As a matter of fact when Robinson began to speak out his mind in the 1950s, his statements angered many players, owners, and fans throughout baseball.
