What was the significance of the long parilament?

    Long parliament was the parliament of the English which was started in the year 1640 and dissolved in the year 1660 and that was started by Charles 1 and came after the short parliament and the short parliament just lasted for a period of three months. This was started by him because he wanted to collect money that he could use in the second war that he had to fight against the Scott's.
