    The US invaded panama when George H. W Bush was US president. It began in December 20, 1989 and lasted till January 31, 1990. It invaded panama to overthrow its dictator Manuel Noriega. He was accused of drug trafficking, endangering US nationals and suppressing democracy in Panama. According to official figures 516 people were killed during the invasion, other agencies claimed that 300 civilian deaths.
