    Explanation:

    A major armed conflict which began in February 2003 in Darfur, Sudan is known as the War in Darfur. In this conflict, two rebel groups launched a fight against the government of Sudan, which they claimed of oppressing the non-Arab population of Darfur. They were fighting against underdevelopment and marginalization in Darfur.

    The government of Sudan in its response, launched a campaign of ethnic cleansing against the non-Arabs. This response of government resulted in the death of thousands of civilians.
