The expansion also involved the problem of native Indians tribes who were resisting to give up their homelands. This problem is solved by taking several measures such as first a policy was adopted to force these tribes further west. But when the conflict could not be solved easily a policy of assimilation of these tribes to modern culture, was kept in hand.
