Chinese immigrants in the United States have a long history, but many Chinese American communities still have a distinct Chinese character where they retain many aspects of their traditional Chinese culture. What concept does this illustrate?

    Multiculturalism can be described or explained as a situation whereby many cultures live or exist together in a society. This type of society is always referred to as a multicultural society.

    It has been discovered that one major factor that contribute or cause a multicultural society is the migration of different people of different culture into a particular place or country.

    In this case, the United states can be described as a multicultural country because there are many people of different culture who had migrated into the country. Among them is Chinese immigrants who still retain some aspects of their culture.

    Note that, tolerance has been considered as the major thing that allow a multicultural society.
