    That the Great Society legislation was a ambitious policy and a program. His main goals where to ending poverty, reducing crimes, abolishing inequality.

    Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society was a failure overall because it was very expensive. Taxes were increased to pay for the programs it created, and Americans did not want to pay them because they believed that individuals needed to take responsibility for themselves.
