    Sinking of the Spanish Armada:

    Guns by English men were used which damaged the ships of Spain and also the Armada and a ship was captured by Sir Francis Drake.

    This defeat and capturing of the Spanish Armada was very important and significant for the region of England and this defeat was seen as one of the greatest achievements of England.

    Because it had brought the domination of Spain over the Atlantic region to an end. This defeat showed strength of England and it's capability of defeating and capturing.
