    If a slave became free, they would have little or no money, no knowledge of the place they were taken too, no contacts besides family if they were with the same owner. Most slaves did not know how to read or write the language used. I do not know the area you are referring to, so I did not include area.

    Most people do not like slaves as someone to work for them

    Explanation:

    because most people only think they are good for slaves and very long ago if people were to walk in and see a slave people do not want to come back. which makes this person lose money for the business and no one wants to lose money making it very hard to get a job for your self and your family
