    The detonation of atomic bombs over the Japanese cities if Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945 had resulted in horrific casualties and devastation.

    Long-Term Effects:

    1) Increased Cancer Rates

    2) Killed more than 140,000 people.

    3) Many died from radiation related diseases afterwards

    4) Destruction of Buildings

    5) The most deadly disease was leukemia
