Spanish american war resulted in the victorious battle for the United States.

    Explanation:

Spain inflicted strict policies on Cuba. United states had a economic ties with Cuba and Cuba sought independence from Spain which led to US intervention in Cuba. Spain lost in the war and seceded Cuba, Philippines and Puerto Rico to United States.

the main cause of the war is the yellow journalism which annoyed the Americans against Spain and involved in Anti-Spanish propaganda. American shipping and sugar trade suffered in Cuba due to the Spanish dominance. the 'reconcentrado' policy which was introduced in Cuba made many Cubans to get forcefully shifted to the concentration camps where they died out of disease and starvation. All this made US to intervene and hence declared war on Spain and emerged victorious.
