How was the form of the American Republic different under Jackson than it was under Jefferson?

    Jeffersonian republicanism and Jacksonian Democracy:

    Jeffersonian republicanism and Jacksonian Democracy were two unique systems which shaped the American Republic.

    Jeffersonian belief was that inly educate should rule the class and proposed education for all in order to prepare the poor individuals to hold office but Jacksonian democracy believed that all men must be given equal opportunities and the position in politics must be open to all rather than following system which ensures that the political system is open for its supporters.

    Presidential candidates were chosen from by conducting a meeting of party leaders whereas in Jacksonian democracy they were selected through nominating campaigns.

    Industrialization and its consequences were feared by the Jeffersonian supporters whereas Jacksonian belief states that industrialization would make America prosperous. Jeffersonian belief was that it disagreed to the interpretation of the elastic clause whereas Jacksonian belief declares that banks were the monopoly venture of the rich.

    Jeffersonian group believed in owning slaves and saw them as an evil that time shall only remove it whereas Jacksonian democracy reveals that slaves are essential and stood against abolishment of it. But both the groups saw that women are subordinated to men and they disagreed with the rights of equality between men and women.
