Social Darwinism is the Darwinism applied to the society. It was used during the Industrial Period to explain, support and promote the idea that America was a strong and evolute society, because of its people and how they deal with the progress.

    Explanation:

Social Darwinism believes in the premise of the existence of societies superior to others. In this condition, those who excel physically and intellectually must and eventually become the rulers. On the other hand, the others - less able - would cease to exist because they were unable to follow the evolutionary line of society. Because it is a theory that considers society based on race, Social Darwinism - which is also based on nationalist ideals - consists of prejudiced and racist thinking.
