Where were most factories located before the Civil War? north, south or West

    This is the main reason why south and north were so different. While north was industrialized and had many factories, on the south they were still using slaves as working power on their plantation. People on the north opposed slavery, but Southerns didn't wanted to hear about it, because according to them it will affect their economy.
