Seniority system should continue as it is a non partisan way for congress to select party chairmen.

    Explanation:

The seniority system has had some criticisms one of which is the fact that it ensures that voters from a particular region vote for a particular candidate whether or not they are the ideal candidates for the position been contested.

The term "seniority system" is used to describe the practice giving special privileges to members of the U. S. Senate and House of Representatives who have served for a long period of time. The seniority system has been the subject of many failed reform initiatives over the years.
