    The name of that program was The Federal Art Project. The Federal Art Project was a New Deal program that was there to fund the visual arts in the US. It was the largest of the New Deal art projects and its' national director was Holger Cahill. It was sponsored by the Works Progress administration otherwise known as WPA.
