The painting here talked about is the painting by William Nicolson named : "The Canadian Head quarters staff".

    Explanation:

    A) Differences between the written account and the visual representation : The painting shows six soldiers who are in a very casual mood. The text that has been written does not go much with the visual representation because the text is very formal and the painting shows officers standing in a very casual mood. It shows the incompetence of the officers. One officer has his hands in the pocket and the other is looking some where else lost in his thoughts. So the written account does not go with the visual representation.

    B) Similarities in the written account and the visual representation : some officers in the painting are seen holding a piece of paper which might be the map of some where, so according to their duties and jobs, they might be making some strategies. All the soldiers are seen properly dressed in their uniform.
