Jesus chose to give himself up to save the world from its sins.

    Explanation:

As it was his choice, God respected him and loved the world enough to give up Jesus to save the rest of us.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
