There was a huge religious chaos which existed when queen of England was coroneted. It was her main responsibility to bring religious tolerance as there was a divide between the Protestants and the Catholics in her rule. She sought to the ideas of western philosophy and created new doctrine in the church and it was easily understandable by both the faiths.

Under her authority people were asked to offer services in the church without fail and those who failed were heavily punished. Queen Mary who was a French monarch was a strong catholic and she involved in many intrigues and treacheries to gain the British throne.

Finally she was executed. This created rage in the catholic community worldwide especially European Catholics were annoyed and they protested against the queen.
