How were the causes of the American and French revolutions similar

    The American and French Revolutions were fighting for liberty and equality. they were also trying to fight to gain freedom (America was trying to gain freedom from the rules and taxes imposed to them by Britain While the French wanted to abolish the French monarchy and create a better government in which the people could have more of a say in society)

    The American Revolution and French Revolution had some similarities as both the revolutions took place to gain the independence from the ruling powers. The Americans wanted to get independence from Great Britain whereas French people wanted French monarchy and establishment of fair and better government in which people have more to say.

    Causes of American Revolution

    The American Revolution mainly focused on achieving independence. The Americans were living under the British rules. The US was obliged to pay the war and pay the high taxes assigned by the British Parliament. Britain imposed several unnecessary tax such stamp tax and etc.

    Causes of French Revolution

    The people of France wanted to get rid of the French monarchy, implement equality instead of the lower class nobles, and the kings would dominate them. They were in the burden of taxes and debt.
