The Americans and Navajo groups were facing many conflicts during the period between 1846 and 1863 Manuelito and Barbonsito recalled that he army was bringing in troops to wage war, it provoked a Renaissance envoy, and opened fire on the tribal chief, Agua Chikito Conversation for peace.

He proclaimed that army people denied bringing food for animals. On April 30, 1860, both Manuelito and Barbonsito attacked on the fort and nearly controlled 1,000 warriors of Navajo.

D, all the mentioned events took place prior to the Long Walk.

Option A refers to the Battle of Canyon de Chelly, which happened in January, 1864. In it, some of Carson's men marched through Canyon de Chelly, destroying Navajo properties. Without food or shelter to spend the winters, and continuously persecuted by the army, Navajo groups began to surrender.

Option B refers to the Second Battle of Fort Defiance, when 1000 Navajo warriors attacked the US Army garrison in then New Mexico territory, on August 30, 1960.

Option C refers to the clashes that happened between 1851 (when Colonel Edwin Vose Summer established Fort Defiance in Navajo territories) and 1861 (when a truce betweem the United States and the Navajo people was signed).

So, as we can see, all the listed events occurred prior to the Long Walk, which started in mid-1864.
