Some people prefers ratifying conventions, rather than state legislatures or the ratification of amendments because they make formal agreement.

    Explanation:

Ratifying convention is considered to be more important and is preferred by people because through this process the state makes a formal agreement and then the terms and conditions of those agreement become bound on the people of that state and ratifying convention means making certain important decisions on matters which are very important for the people of that country and for their betterment and welfare. This ratification is done keeping in mind the common interests of all the people of that locality.
