    Federalist National Republicans and the Democrats are the two major parties in the United States.

    Explanation:

    Democratic-Republicans is a party governing U. S. politics from 1800 to 1829. In 1828 they divided into two factions and called them as federalist National Republicans and the Democrats. Whigs party is also considered to be force till the 1850's and after that Whigs got collapsed.

    The modern Democratic party gives emphasis to equal opportunity and social equality through liberalism. They supported that voting rights should be given to all citizens and to protect minority rights, including LGBT rights, multiculturalism, and religious secularism.

    The Republican Party, also known to as the Grand Old Party, they were in support of lower taxes, and they insist on free-market capitalism, they advocate for strong national defense, they are in support of gun laws, deregulation and limitations on labor unions. Republican government mainly supports for conservative economic policies.
