What restrictions on American women in the 1800s prevented them from having a role in politics

    Option A. Women were not allowed to exercise any balloting privileges, they cannot start any business ventures. Women were also not educated and they are ignored by their teachers.

    They were given petty jobs like agricultural work, street vendor or a servant maid in rich families. They were not paid much. Gender discrimination was much prevalent at that time.

    At the time of riots, many women were also forced to prostitution as they did not find any other respectable means to earn money in order to take care of their families.
