How do totalitarian and fascist values differ from democratic principle and goals

Democratic principles and goals are supposed to represent and defend people's will and rights, for example, freedom of speech and religion, etc. Also, their leaders have limited powers, while the fascist and totalitarian leaders have unrestricted powers and they are only rulers of the state. The main democratic principles are based on faith in reasons and concepts of equality and liberty and they are protecting individuals and their rights.

On the other hand, fascist and totalitarian values reject basic human rights and individualism, as an individual is considered as a member of the society who has to serve the state. Fascism and totalitarian regimes reject the concepts of equality and liberty, by placing national goals above individual interests, and emphasizes the role of emotion and supremacy of the state over reason.
