Immigrants played a huge role in the development of a new spirit of independence among the American people. The amount of immigrants being united among Americans led to further equality and diversity among the people. With so many people coming from so many different places, there were many of different religions, which were accepted and grew throughout America. Along with so many different people coming, some were younger and sought to find a good education, this made Americans realize the importance of education. Also, this came with the idea of democracy and freedom for all. This spirit is very important to America today, and still continues to influence us.
