Explanation: Well, to start off, when Columbus first landed in the Caribbean, he thought the Native Americans were Indians since he thought he made it to India. However, he did not even step foot in America and at the same time, the new land had been discovered known as North America.

    Here are the main things:

It depended on the nation and the kind of interaction with the kind of tribe

Certain tribes realized the importance of Natives to their success through trade and profit.

They wanted to convert them to Christianity, sometimes by force.

They had different practices and considered Natives as inferior.

Of course the Natives did not take fondly of this, but they took advantage of the wars between the English super powers.

    Natives were affected by diseases.

Overall, the Natives were affected negatively since their population today was not as much as when they used to be before the English settled, but their were still some good attributes such as trade.
