Following are five reasons for Snowball's importance in the book: Snowball is the one to coin the idea of 'animalism'. He is good at convincing the other animals on the farm to team up in order to fight the battle of the cowshed. Snowball bravely runs straight at Jones without thinking of his own safety. He puts the other animals first when it comes to giving credit and appreciation. He cares for other animal's good being.
