Describe how the Battle of kings Mountain was fought

Battle of kings mountain was a military conflict between the patriots and loyalists militias in south Carolina resulting in the triumph of the patriots.

Kings mountain was present in what today is called the Cherokee country. it is described as the world' largest all american fight. Patriots won the fight. Ferguson came to North Carolina in order to recruit loyalists militia but when he encountered the patriots he issued a challenge saying the patriots to face the attack and bear the consequences. Patriots were annoyed and headed by Benjamin Cleveland planned an attack.

Ferguson received an intelligence report on the forth coming attack and decided to safeguard Lord Cornwallis army. By this time, patriots surrounded the loyalists and gave a surprise attack which included many causalities, Ferguson was also shot dead when he crossed the rebel line after which all loyalists surrendered.
