    Jim Cabot was an Italian navigator and explorer who was the first European to discover North America.

    Explanation:

    Jim Cabot was the explorer who navigated from Bristol to the Newfoundland. he traveled in a small ship from Bristol with a small crew of 18 men. The expedition ultimately ended in finding North America. After which he followed deep into the island of south Labrador in which there was no habituation of any people. He took possession of the land and he hoisted the British flag.

    Various regions he explored and he named them to be Cape Discovery, Island of St. John, Trinity islands. His second expedition was to Cape of Cipangu which is in Japan.
