During the last Ice Age, early humans from Asia were able to cross to North America through the Bering Strait. A land bridge that existed in that time. With the pass of time, now that bridge sank. Today is underwater. But that portion of land is what allowed early humans to arrive in North America. That 56 miles bridge connected what today is Alaska with Russia.
