    James Abram Garfield

    Explanation:

James A Garfield was the 20th president of the United States. He had the second shortest tenure in U. S. presidential history that lasted for 7 months (March 4-September 19, 1881).

He began his career at Eclectic Institute as a professor of ancient languages upon graduation from Williams College. In 1857, at age 25, he became the school's president.

On July 2, 1881, Garfield was assassinated in the railroad station in Washington, D. C., by Charles J. Guiteau, a mental office seeker who had messianic visions. The first shot grazed Garfield's arm, but the second bullet pierced his back and lodged behind his pancreas. Guiteau willingly surrendered to police, while announcing, "I am a Stalwart'.

If James Garfield is one of the choices, it'd be him.
